Creating New Programs, Copies, & Templates

Updated at February 27th, 2026

You can create new programs, copies of existing programs, or copies of program template, by clicking the ‘Add Program’ button in Program Admin.
When creating a new program you will be presented with 3 options:

  • New - a brand new program
  • Copy - a copy of an existing program
  • Copy From Template - a copy of an existing program template

New Program

When creating a New Program you will be required to populate:

  • Program Title - the name of the program
  • Program Path - the unique path for this program, this path will also be seen in the site URL when learners are in the program
  • Program Type - Multipage or single page; Single page programs are good for things like masterclass programs, but are limited to a single page of content. Multipage programs are useful for more complex programs, which may require more than one page of content.

Copy

The Copy option will create a replica of your chosen program, it will not copy enrolments, pricing plans or program tags.

  • Program - you will be presented with a dropdown of existing programs you can choose to copy
  • Program Title - this will automatically populate with the name of the original program, with ‘Copy of’ at the beginning
  • Program Path - The program path will automatically populate with the program path of the original program, with ‘1’ at the end
  • New Start Date - If the program you are copying has a start date, you will be asked to choose a start date and time, you will also see the start date and time of the original program so you can reference it. If the program has any embedded dates (sessions, unlock, due dates etc), they will automatically be adapted to fit the same cadence of the original program, in relevance to the new start date and time.
For example, if the original program started on 17/09/2025 at 9.00am and had a session on 20/09/2025 at 10.00am, and you set the new copy of this program to start 13/01/2026 at 10.00am, this session would then adapt to 16/01/2026 at 11.00am
  • Include Scheduled Posts - if your original program has scheduled posts, you can choose whether or not these will appear in the new copy

Copy from Template

Copying from a template is similar to a program copy, except the program dropdown will feature your existing program templates.

  • Program - you will be presented with a dropdown of existing templates you can choose to copy
  • Program Title - this will automatically populate with the name of the template, with ‘Copy of’ at the beginning
  • Program Path - The program path will automatically populate with the program path of the template, with a ‘tpl’ at the beginning and ‘1’ at the end
  • New Start Date - If the template you are copying has a start date, you will be asked to choose a start date and time, you will also see the start date and time of the original program so you can reference it. If the template has sessions or due/unlock dates, they will automatically be adapted to fit the same cadence of the original program, in relevance to the new start date and time.
For example, if the original template has the start date of 17/09/2025 at 9.00am and a session on 20/09/2025 at 10.00am, and you set the new copy of this template to start 13/01/2026 at 10.00am, this session would then adapt to 16/01/2026 at 11.00am
  • Include Draft Posts - if your template has draft posts, you can choose whether or not these will appear in the new copy

Once Copied

Once you have created your copy, it will appear in the ‘Program Copies’ tab of Program Admin. Please wait until it moves into the ‘Recently Completed’ tab before accessing. It will then appear in the ‘Draft Programs’ tab. If you access your new copy before it has moved into the ‘Recently Completed’ tab, you are accessing the copy before it is finished copying, and risk losing some of the content.

If your program has any Guroo Pro modules, you will need to republish every module by clicking the edit arrow and selecting ‘Republish’. If you do not republish your modules, they will not load when learners try to access them.
