Learn how to create and manage banner announcements in Academy.

Academy allows Platform Admins and System Admins to post banner announcements directly on users' home pages. This article covers how to create and manage banners.

Communications

Note: Only Platform Admins and System Admins can create banner announcements. Banners will appear on users' home pages.

Navigate to Platform Settings in the left-hand menu, then go to Banner Announcements and click Create Announcement.

Fill in the Announcement Title and Announcement Body. Then configure the following settings:

  • Display Announcement Title – Toggle on to show the title on the banner as it appears to users.
     
  • Status – Set to Draft to save without publishing, or Active to make the banner live immediately.
     
  • Allow Users to Dismiss Announcement – Toggle on if you wish to give users the option to close the banner.
     
  • Targeted Users – Toggle on if you wish to restrict the banner to specific user groups rather than showing it to everyone.

Click Save Draft to save your banner. It will appear in the Banner Announcement menu, where you can pin it to learners' home pages. Here, the banner will appear under Notices.
